Latest News and Notices
I write this as we approach the last week of the first term of 2003/2004. We have just had a good day with Spouses of Readers in Training and I am now beginning to plan ahead to the first residential in January. If you are one of the few Readers in Training at Ludlow take heart that there are several more at Cheltenham and you will meet them at the March weekend.
I hope you will find this page relevant to issues specifically related to being an Reader in Training with WEMTC. It should be updated twice a year or more often if things happen. The Current Student's Home Page is updated at least twice a term with general information.
Suggestions for improvements are always welcome. For really up to date news and relevant items, we are dependent on you providing us with details and requests! Please send us suggestions or photos (electronic or hard copy), book reviews, jokes, questions, gossip? and other items for posting on this WEMTC noticeboard. And don't forget to use the email discussion forum
If you have any problems at all with the site let me know by sending an email or telling me directly - please be as detailed as possible so that we can locate the problem.
Latest Changes to the Web
The web site is currently going through a major overhaul to update it in line with the new programme that came on stream starting in September 2003. The web site will try to keep one step ahead of the programme but will take about two years to complete. So apologies for any empty placeholders you might find. The following are some of the most recently updated pages that are relevant to Reader Students:
- The Certificate Page
- A page marker has been put in for every new module in the new programme. Many of these 80 odd new pages are empty (but not all - find the needle in the haystack!)and I hope to keep one step of these modules being taught as they are intoduced over the next three years. See our Modules page
- Our Year One taught modules now have a page of their own which is nearly complete see
Years Two and Three should see the old Taught Modules page for links to each Taught Module (this is the most complete section of the web - I hope you find it useful).
- Our new Learning Journal and our new look Competence Portfolio is now available online. Students on the old course will need to refer to their paper copies.
- The residential venues have been updated.
Do browse, explore and enjoy! Then let us know what else you would like to see here or what you would like me to complete more quickly.
In my naivete I hoped to have a brand new website up and running in Sept 2000....then surely I could find time in the summer to complete it....then.... So we have decided to run with "good enough website" and fill in the gaps as we go long. Therefore some pages are simply markers for work under construction. Those on the WEMTC forum will get automatic notice of the changes as they appear.

Your web browser allows you to keep a list of pages. You can then select from this list to return to that same page later to read it again and view any updates to the page. This list is known as bookmarks or favourites or favourite places.
To add this page:
