P201 Ministerial Placement
Welcome to the P201 Ministerial Placement web page. This page is designed to provide useful resources relating to this placement with WEMTC. If you have found useful resources or have questions you would like ask, please do contribute. This Placement is linked to the R7 Ministerial Placement Debrief weekend. There are separate pages for the Reader Placement and the Vocational Discernment Placement
This Placement involves an eight-week commitment to a local church significantly different from the student's own and which provides an opportunity to practise ministerial skills, reflect on future ministry and discern strengths and weaknesses in ministerial practice.
The Ministerial Placement is usually undertaken in September and October with the Debrief occuring in November. It is not necessary for the Placement to be completed by the Debrief weekend although it is desirable that you have completed substantial work so that you are able to fully take part in the discussions. We therefore recommend that you start as early as you can in September. OLMs and students starting in September may have to undertake part or all of the placement after the weekend.

Why not tell us of some books you have found useful? If the webmaster agrees we'll list them here.
You may find the following web sites helpful for the Ministerial Placement. Material on the net has no quality control making tutors very wary - and rightly so! Nevertheless there is a growing amount of first class work on line particularly coming from Religious Studies Departments of good Universities. Treat with care and you'll find it very useful.
The Internet is not 100% reliable and documents move, disappear and change their names. If you find a link does not work, try again in an hour, a day, or a week. But do feel free to email us to report a link doesn't work. Don't forget to tell us the name of the link!
Resources Generally
I haven't found many web sites generally useful to everyone related to this placement. Every placement is unique and you will need to draw on all that you have studied with WEMTC so see the Modules that relate to issues that arise.
